Rss 2 Wordpress Configuration Tutorial
- What is this?
This short turotial will setup Rss2Anywhere so that it will post RSS items from a RSS feed to a Wordpress blog located on your own server. - Register
First create a account at Rss2Anywhere, you will only need to enter your email address and password. The email that you can use to login will be send to the email address. - Login
Now login. - Add a server
Click the 'Servers' link in the top menu. Click the 'Add a new Server' link at the bottom of the page. A little popup should appear, enter a name for the server, for example 'Wordpress'. A new page will appear. Now you need to find the url which you use to login to wordpress. Most of the time this url is something like:
http://www.somedomain.com/wp-login.php
Replace 'somedomain.com' with your own domain. Now go to this url and see if this is really your login to wordpress page. Now go back the Rss2Anywhere and fill in the following values in the available fields:
Host: www.somedomain.com
Port: 80
Path: /xmlrpc.php
The only thing you have to do is to enter the username and the password you use to login to wordpress in the Username and Password field. Click the Change button to save the changes. - Import your wordpress blog
Click the 'Servers' link in the top menu. And click the 'Import/update Blogs' link to import you wordpress blog in the Rss2Anywhere system. - What now?
You have now successfully setup Rss2Anywhere. You can now choose to read the A Auto Updated Blog Tutorial (start reading from the 'Add the RSS feeds' part) or the Quickstart (start reading from the 'Did the import work?' part). - But i have more than 1 Wordpres blog?
You can add as many Wordpress servers as you like. Click the 'Add a new Server' for every Wordpress blog you have.
